USRAH REFLECTION

Assalamulaikum everyone.

16th April 2019 was the last day of my usrah session. There are a lot of things that I learn throughout all the usrah session for this semester. And today I want to share with you guys what I’ve gain from all the usrah session. Usrah for me is a sharing session where we can talk about any topics that we want, but it is mostly relate to Islam. I kind of like the idea of usrah because it seems like a lecturing but in more casual way.

Before going more deeper, let me share or remind you guys about the pillars of usrah which is Ta’aruf (knowing each other), tafahum (developing shared understanding) and takaful (mutual support). These three things are important in usrah as without this three, the usrah wil only be just a common study circle, not an usrah.

Other than that, do you know the story of Prophet Adam A.S, his wife and shaytan? This story has been told by Allah in surah al-Baqarah verse 31-39. There’re many things can be learned from the story. One of the most important lesson is our responsibility as a vicegerent. As vicegerents, we were responsible is to protect the religion and to preserves the environment. Beside that, this verses also emphasizes about the need to know our enemy.

Besides that, based on surah al-Hajj verses 8-14, I learned that there’re three types of humans in this world. They are disbelievers, hypocrites and believers. Basically, disbeliever are people who refuses to believe in Islam or lacks religious faith. They often try to lead other people astray from Islam. Hypocrites is the person worship Allah but with not a firm belief meanwhile believers are those who follow Allah commands and rules.

By following Allah commands and neglect what Allah have prohibit, we can strengthen our relationship with Allah. What will happen if a person neglect Allah command and do bad things? The person will live without the blessings and mercy from Allah. Blessings and mercy from Allah are important for us because without both of this, our live will be insignificance and unmeaningful.

In this usrah also, we were asked to memorize surah such as surah al-Baqarah verse 1-5 and verse 255-257, surah al-Hashr verse 22-24 and so on. Most of the surah are probably the surah that I already memorize but not quite smooth. Doing this memorisation surely improve my reading,understanding and memory about certain surah.

I can say that join usrah surely increase our belief to Allah and our knowledge about Islam. Therefore, I encourage for all of you, who read this post to join usrah. You surely will not regret it. That all for now, till we meet again, assalamualaikum🌸
